A researcher interested in Mr. Smith or the topics in which he was involved should examine his Oral History Interview, which was conducted on May 17, 2006.

Collection includes campaign materials such as buttons, postcards, and pamphelets. Many press releases, newsletters, and office materials regarding political "how-tos" and general information for lawmakers. Eight boxes of the collection are tapes of interviews and a few other miscellaneous topics. Also donated were seven scrapbooks.

Scope and Contents This collection represents part of a 10 year career as House of Representative member Timothy S. Mahoney. Mahoney was a Democrat who served as Representative of both Fayette and Somerset Counties. While in the House he was particularly interested in generating awareness for State Police and Firefighters by passing resolutions that honored their services for Pennsylvania.
